Technogen HEROS air handling units are designed by our R&D team for hygienic, comfort and industrial applications. The 62 casing sizes follow standard filter dimensions, and each of the 19 module types fits every size.
Specialised panel and body construction minimises thermal bridging, while the modular structure makes transport, installation, maintenance and dismantling straightforward.
Double-skin panels
50 mm panels filled with 70 kg/m³ rock wool. Tested to EN 1886: strength class D2, casing air leakage class L1.
Wide range of filters
Panel, bag, compact, activated-carbon and HEPA filters for comfort, hygienic and clean environments.
Heat recovery systems
Rotary wheel up to 80%, plate exchanger 70%, or a glycol circuit for fully separated airstreams.
Advanced fans & motors
EC plug fans with VFD integration, on spring isolators.

50 mm rock-wool insulated panels, with panel and body construction designed to minimise thermal bridging and noise breakout.
Access doors and inspection windows give service teams direct, safe access to fans, filters and coils.

Supply and extract openings with dampers, configured to the airflow arrangement of each project.

04Heat recovery
Three ways to
recover energy.
HEROS takes rotary, plate or glycol-circuit heat recovery, chosen for each project's hygiene and efficiency requirements.
Rotary wheel
A slowly rotating heat wheel passes alternately through the extract and supply airstreams. It stores energy from the outgoing air and releases it into the incoming air.
Compact, with high recovery in a small footprint.

- 40–80%humidity transfer
Humidity transfer is around 40% with a condensation rotor, up to 60% with silica-gel coating and up to 80% with zeolite coating. A sweeping cell turns return air back before it can mix with fresh air.

Plate exchanger
Thin plates form separate channels for the two airstreams, which exchange heat across the plate surfaces without mixing.
No moving parts and simple maintenance. A natural fit where airstream separation matters.

An optional bypass damper gives free cooling; a drain pan collects condensate on the exhaust side.

Glycol circuit
Separate coils in the extract and supply airstreams are linked by a pumped water–glycol loop that carries heat between them.
Supply and extract sections can be installed apart, with no contact between the airstreams.
